DPJ Foundation offers free Mental Health Awareness training at Crymych Football Club

A new sports and rural mental health awareness training course is being launched at Crymych Football Club with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) focusing on mental health and wellbeing.
 The first training event will be held on September 30 at 6pm, as part of the role out of the training support to sports clubs and rural communities 

The training is free of charge and lasts between 1.5-2 hours.  It covers the following topics:
- What is Mental Health?
- How common is poor mental health
- Stigma
- Causes and spotting signs
- Suicide awareness
- Talking and listening tips
- Signposting and self-care
- Creating the right culture

The training is designed for members of sports clubs to support themselves and each other. It is a very worthwhile training course for those who coach or captain teams or who are responsible for wellbeing.
