Flood alerts issued for Pembrokeshire

Flood alerts have been issued for the next 48 hours along the majority of the South West Wales coastline.

The warnings have been issued by Natural Resources Wales as a result of high tides and the heavy rain which is forecast over the next two days

People living near the coastline are being advised to 'be prepared'.

"There is a risk of flooding as a result of the combinations of the high tides and weather conditions throughout August 21 and 22," states the NRA alert.

"Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected."

Flood warnings are in place from Chester, along the north Wales coast to Bangor, Anglesey, the Llyn Peninsula, Porthmadog, the Menai Straits, Aberdyfi, Borth, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and along the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire coasts to Swansea.
