Gun salute tribute to take place at Cardiff Castle today

A 96-gun salute will take place at Cardiff Castle today, to mark the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.⁣⁣

The gun salute will take place at 1pm today. ⁣⁣

96 rounds will be fired at the castle to mark every year of Queen Elizabeth II’ life. 

Churches in Wales are also being encouraged to ring their bells between 12:00 and 13:00 this afternoon. 

King Charles III and the Queen Consort will return to London today from Balmoral. 

It is expected that his Majesty The King will address the nation with a televised statement at 6pm.
