The inquest has opened into the death of local taxi driver Chris Boyle, who died at the scene of a road traffic collision earlier this month.

Fifty-seven-year-old Mr Boyle (affectionately known as Mukka) of Park Avenue, Kilgetty, died at the scene following the collision on the A4139 between Tenby and Penally, on Monday, September 2.

The inquest hearing at Haverfordwest County Hall on Friday morning was told by the coroner’s officer for Dyfed-Powys Police that a post mortem had confirmed that Mr Boyle’s cause of death was ‘multiple traumatic injuries’ due to a road traffic collision.

With an investigation by Dyfed-Powys Police and criminal proceedings ongoing, the inquest into Mr Boyle’s death has been adjourned to a later date.

Thirty-year-old Mateusz Sikorski, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving when he appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court earlier this month.  No pleas have yet been submitted and Sikorski will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday, October 8.
