Locak Artist of the Week: ACCU

Locak Artist of the Week: ACCU
Accu is an electronics duo from the Camarthen area. Accu herself is a Dutch/Welsh singer/songwriter/producer/ keyboard player and the other half of the duo is bassist/multi-instumentalist Richard James, who was formerly a leading light in Pembrokeshire's alt-rock band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci.
Th songs featured this week are taken from their Echo the Red album which was released a few years ago on Carmarthen's Libertino Record label, which is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary - a label which features many top Welsh acts, including the acclaimed Adwaith, who perform in both English and Welsh. Libertino is named after a song by the late David Edwards, of Datbylgu, who lived in Carmarthen and Cardigan, and whose music remans a big influence on contemporary bands from west wales and beyond.
One of Accu's tracks played this week, Fever Stream, has comedian Stewart Lee on guest vocals.
