Local Artist of the Week: CONNOR JILLIONS

Local Artist of the Week: CONNOR JILLIONS
--
The many Open Mics that take place in Pembrokeshire are ideal places for young (and not so young!) musicians to develop their talents and to perform in front of an audience, perhaps for the first time. Check out BB Skone’s Gig Guide to discover where and when they take place.
Nineteen year old Connor Jillions, of Pembroke Dock, has been doing just that and is now ready to step out onto bigger stages. He is an accomplished guitarist, singer, and songwriter and is the latest musician to feature on BB Skone’s legendary live sessions.
He was heard on the Pembrokeshire Music Show of Sunday 11th July (check out the podcast for the full sesson with interview) and is now Artist of the Week.
The first four tracks listed were recorded live in the Pure West Radio studio whilst the second version of Watercolours is taken from Connor’s forthcoming EP.
Connor has been working on that EP in collaboration with previous Artist of the Week Gareth Davie at his Manorbier studio and it is due for release later this year.
Connor is a most promising musician – remember you heard him first on Pure West Radio!
Connor’s next gig will be at the Castle Inn, Pembroke – restarting gigs after complaints about ‘noise’ have been addressed. Keep an eye on BB Skone’s Gig Guide for details of that and many more shows.
