Ella Guru are husband and wife Arleen & Richie Westmacott from Tenby, they have been performing together for more years than they care to remember, and as a result are one of the most popular and in demand duos in west Wales.
Arleen, former guitar teacher and member of the legendary musical Beddis family, sings and plays guitar and percussion. Richie, the smiling face behind the counter at Dale's Music in Tenby for 40 years until recently, has earned the soubriquet 'The Godfather of Pembrokeshire Rock' for his amazing guitar playing in a series of legendary bands (some of which also boasted Arleen as a member) such as Frostbite, Elephant Gerald, Voodoo Armpit, and Kangaroo Airforce Generator. He also sings.
As a duo they are never less than entertaining, exciting and passionate with a huge repertoire that includes Rock, Reggae, Folk, Blues, Country, Pop, and probably a few genres yet to be invented.
Three of the songs they play in the live session are self- penned.
