Local Artist of the Week : THE PAVILION

Rhys Smedley is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Fishguard who appeared acoustically on the BB Skone Show a few years ago.Since moving to Bristol to study he has teamed up with Finn Brake, Tom Phillips and Ben Mitchell to form indie-rock quartet The Pavilion.

They are well known for their energetic. powerful wall of sound and moving, heartfelt lyrics.After headlining several Bristol venues they headed out west this summer to play Westival (Manorbier) in June and The Edge Festival (Solva) in July; they went down a storm at both festivals.The band photos were taken by BB Skone at The Edge Festival - they are showing their set list written on their arms!The songs featured this week are taken from their debut EP, Hydref, and includes their single releases to date.
