Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) is currently halfway through the recruitment window for Wholetime Firefighters.

MAWWFRS is encouraging people from all walks of life to join and contribute to the safety and well-being of the Mid and West Wales communities.

Chief Fire Officer Roger Thomas KFSM said:

“We’re excited to start recruitment for another cohort of Wholetime Firefighters this year.

“The role of a Wholetime Firefighter goes far beyond tackling fires, road traffic collisions and water rescues. The role of modern-day firefighters plays a crucial part in educating the public and working to prevent risks to life and the environment.

“We encourage people from a wide variety of backgrounds to apply, emphasising the diverse skill set needed for this challenging yet rewarding career.

“This recruitment drive is an essential step in making sure that we have the skilled and committed individuals needed to respond to emergencies and make Mid and West Wales a safe place to live, work and travel.”

Online registration closes at 12pm on Monday, January 27th 2025.
