Pembrokeshire children are being given the opportunity to visit the county’s brand new Welsh medium primary school today when Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Penfro opens its doors for an introductory open event.

The school, which officially opens in September, is extending an invitation to prospective children, parents, guardians and other interested members of the community to pay a visit and view its excellent state-of-the-art facilities.

“This is a new chapter for Welsh medium education in Pembrokeshire, and I know that the children who will be attending the school will greatly benefit from a truly 21st century learning environment,” commented Bro Penfro’s executive headteacher, Dafydd Hughes.

The school, which is situated in Pembroke, provides full day-care for up to 36 children aged 0-11, a 30-place nursery and capacity for up to 210 pupils from Reception to Year 6.

The open evening begins today (Monday July, 15) at 4.30pm.
