PEMBROKESHIRE’S WEDDING SINGERS & SURPRISE ACT WANT A WIN AT THE WEDDING INDUSTRY AWARDS
Milford Havens, SASS SURPRISE SINGERS, Wedding Singers, Surprise & Saxophone Act, want a win at The Wedding Industry Awards 2025 and has been announced as a Regional Finalist in the hotly fought Wedding Musical Act category with the aim of being recognised as the best in Wales.
Alina Rees, Founder of SASS Surprise Singers says we entered The Wedding Industry Awards because it’s a perfect platform to celebrate our growth as a team and to share what we’ve built with the world. This new category gives us an exciting opportunity to benchmark ourselves against the incredible talent in Wales. We’ve admired TWIA for years and love how it champions its entrants, so being part of this special occasion feels like a milestone in our journey
The first step on the road to National glory will be a triumph at the Regional Awards event in November. Here, the companies that have received the best feedback from their clients and have caught the eye of the expert Judging Panel will be crowned Regional Winner in November before progressing to the National Finals in January 2025.
“Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game,” says Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards. “Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success. Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things. Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.”
It’s been a great year for SASS Surprise Singers already with a record breaking number of weddings, a new website launch, invitations to feature on podcasts and Regional Winners for the Welsh National Wedding Awards for Best Musical Act 2023, along with making finalists again for 2024 and they’re hoping to end the year on a high.
Alina says winning The Wedding Industry Awards would be an incredible affirmation of the journey we've been on. We've had the privilege to grow our team and offer opportunities to women, especially mothers who have lost confidence in their voice, helping them find belief in themselves again. The exposure and recognition would mean so much, not just for what we do, but for what we stand for—empowering others through music. Even if we don’t win, we are proud to have come this far, and we hope that belief in ourselves resonates with others, inspiring them to book us for their weddings.
