Dominos Pizza has put out an urgent warning concerning dips which may contain traces of peanut.

An email sent out to customers on Monday morning (September 16) , confirmed that Dominos Pizza has been made aware that its garlic and herb dip and its honey and mustard dip may contain traces of peanut.

"This issue may impact both our 100g 'Big Dip' pots and the smaller 25g pots which we provide with our pizzas," the pizza company says in its statement.

"If you do have a peanut allergy, please dispose of the dips and do not consume them.  But if you do not have a peanut allergy, no further action is required."

The statement says that the quality of its products and the safety of its customers 'is of the highest priority', particularly when it is relation to allergens.
